OMFGWHATISTHAT (and isnt it cute)

>.> Yes I’m late, and you’ve likely seen this avatar all over other blogs already. Nonetheless, I’m posting about Emma Gilmour’s Bloom Doll avatar, because this perfect mixture of cute and sometimes creepy definitely belongs in my inventory, trend or no trend! There are two male dolls and six female ones to choose from at the Sand Shack Surf Co. store. They’ve also got a Flickr photo contest going on, for more info see this entry in Emma Gilmour’s photostream. :D Now, pictures! Continue reading

Shock, shock, I’m a neko today. A rare sight indeed, but the cute neko ears and tail (sadly, dumpsters are not very tail friendly) from [CoCo] had me creating a new look. I love the little ball earring that dangles from one ear. Today, we’ve got some sales and a small peak in to a roleplay sim. Continue reading

Random hybrid tiem!

Eiran's random hybrid avatar

Yes, “tiem”. Sometimes I speak lolcat.

I love putting hybrid avatars together when I get bored or stumped, even if it’s as simple as adding a pair of odd ears to an otherwise human shape. Some of my favourite things to look at are furry mods and spare parts. While I unfortunately don’t have the patience, actual talent and/or time to spend seriously modifying and retexturing things, I do like mixing and matching whatever stuff I can find… and possibly use it in RP at some point. Even if I don’t, it’s a fun and weird everyday look I can go back to from time to time. 8D

Decorating your face with the Haus of Darcy

Posted in Fantasy, Friends, Goth, Hybrid and Furry, Stores, Urban with tags , , , , , , on 17 May 2011 by Eiran Lionheart

Eiran in .HoD. Scorpio and Bulletproof I recently found myself a personal challenge upon being gifted with review copies of piercings from Aydan Darcy of -.HoD.- or the Haus of Darcy (thank you!!). :D While I’d never get piercings in RL, it’s easier to handle them on SL because… well, you can attach and detach with next to no hassle. Piercings are often a key element of some gothic and/or scene kid oufits, which I initially started to do, but before I finished an outfit a thought occurred to me: can’t I use them in a way that was neither?

So I put on my usual type of fantasy RP look, and added the piercings to my pegacorn, choosing the lightest colour variant. I think they added an instant quirk to what would have been an otherwise dainty hybrid look, lol. One thing I quickly learned is that you may need to adjust the widdle prims to suit your shape especially if some elements float and are not quite stuck to where they should be. It was easily done, not taking me more than a couple minutes, since the pictures the piercings came with were good reference to where the prims should go.

And I wandered through Siden to find some of my friends who also have -.HoD.- piercings! Our pictures follow below :DDD Continue reading

Sharing some .::S::. Secrets (hair that is :D)

Eiran wearing .::S::. Secrets Primus hair

First off… wow it’s been a while. RL work has really been keeping me busy, so when I do have time on SL lately I’m usually in a tired scatterbrained mode, please pardon the mess. XD I’ve actually got a bunch of things lined up that need blogging, to start off I have a lovely review copy of a hairstyle named Primus, from Syndel Daviau of .::S::. Secrets Hair.

Primus is a longer version of the Marcus hair you may have seen in this earlier post. I picked the colour variant “Lights” mainly because I was curious what colour it was XD and found it’s blond, with little gold specks in it! I think it works for my half-fantasy-inspired urban look here in Siden.

Fantasy Faire 2011: Life in :[Plastik]:, it’s fantastic

Posted in Charity Fundraiser, Events, Fantasy, Friends, Hybrid and Furry with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 04 April 2011 by Eiran Lionheart

I have to admit I was more than a little shocked when Aikea Rieko of Plastik sent me a megabunch of skins that she’s offering at Fantasy Faire 2011‘s Forest of Light sim. XD They are called the Aquamer skins, and while it is obvious from the name that they are for mermaids, IC:OOC co-blogger Nami Lithanos and I dressed up in them as anything but. XDDD

As everything in this skin line is for females, I had to be a female avatar for this photoshoot. I say “had to be” because I don’t genderbend unless it’s absolutely truly madly deeply necessary LOL. This first photo was taken when I started experimenting with a look for the Aquamer Shimah shade, which is one of the Plastik’s Fantasy Faire fundraising items. After the jump you’ll see more pics of Nami and me! Continue reading

Project FUR JapanProject FUR Japan, a Second Life fundraising event for animal rescue and support in Japan, officially opened to the public at 9:00pm SLT on the 2nd of April 2011. Even before the opening, over 1400USD (yes, RL money, not L$) was already raised!

In this post I’m going to show you a few awesome things I got during the bloggers’ preview the day before and within 24 hours after. Lots of designers may still not have their stuff placed on the sim so I’ll be revisiting from time to time :D

In the photo I’m sitting with a doggie I got from KauSa Pera of .::Hazard Kitty::., that is being sold at Project FUR. :D You can get a better look at my outfit after the cut…
